Small production “garage” wines from the Loire Valley? What’s not to like? The Garo’ Vin wines from Cedric Garreau are delicious. Cedric makes wines from the usual Anjou suspects: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc. His vineyards are certified organic and his winemaking is natural using old school equipment and techniques. This 100% Cabernet Franc 🍇 is in a perfect spot. Right after popping the cork those spicy green bell pepper, earthy qualities come out. The acidity and tannins are in perfect balance with a little touch of old oak barrels. This is definitely a producer worth seeking out especially if you are as big of a Loire Cab Franc fan as I am.
