Lighter Languedoc

The other face of Languedoc. Red wines from this region can be hot. Bursting with ripeness and alcohol. Domaine Ledogar is the complete opposite. Xavier Ledogar has been running his families winery in Corbières since 1997. Along with his brother, Mathieu, they use biodynamic farming practices and have been certified organic since 2006. Keeping the alcohol in check, these wines are pure and fresh. The Boscaton is not an AOP Corbières but an IGP from Aude, just south of Carcasonne. The Ledogars make wine from both appellations. This old vine Carignan based wine is full of life. Bright red fruits and loads of acidity. At a reasonable price, this is the ultimate red picnic wine.
