Sidecar Cocktail

The Sidecar cocktail. Claimed to be invented by the Ritz hotel in Paris in the early 1920’s. There are several versions of this drink but the known “French School” version has equal parts Cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice.

Here is the recipe for this version of a Sidecar: 1oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaço 1oz Chateau du Tariquet 8yr Armagnac 1oz Fresh Lemon Juice Shake all ingredients in a cocktail glass with ice and strain into martini glass. Garnish with an orange peel.
