A Lucky Dice Roll

A beautiful white Burgundy from Domaine Brenot. Not oxidized at all. The small lieux-dit of En l'Ormeau in Chassagne-Montrachet is at the crossroads between the road headed to Santenay and the road upwards to Morgeot. Philippe Brenot of Domaine Brenot in Santenay was the 4th generation winemaker of his families domaine. They used traditional farming methods. This beautiful Chardonnay was aged on its lees for 18 months in French oak. About 30% of it new. Interesting fact: In 2011 Philippe sold the domaine, house and parcels to Alex Gambal of Maison Gambal. Gambal became the first non-Frenchman to own Montrachet land.
