Pascal Clement

Burgundian born Pascal Clement has been around the wine makers all his life. After spending time working at other estates, he started his own wine project in 2012. He makes wine from several appellations throughout Burgundy.

In the Côte de Beaune, Le Charmois is a Premier Cru in the Saint-Aubin appellation. Les Charmois is bordered by Les Chaumées in Chassagne-Montrachet. The 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru “Le Charmois” is from organic farmed chardonnay. It spends 16 months in French oak. I remember tasting this wine upon release and was blown away at how approachable it was. It is really hitting its stride right now. Notes of white flowers, honeydew, cantaloupe, and almonds. It has some richness from the oak but is very fresh and vibrant. An enjoyable white Burg.
